Producing a product with meaning for female university students who want help to manage and cope with their anxiety. I chose to have a pack of cards that are able to refill each month, which go into specific areas that the audience feels suit them the most.
Producing a product with meaning for female university students who want help to manage and cope with their anxiety. I chose to have a pack of cards that are able to refill each month, which go into specific areas that the audience feels suit them the most.

This process helped me see how vital it is to prototype after each alteration to see any improvements that need to be taken into consideration. In this project, I was able to screen print for the first time to provide a more tactile feel, but learn on hand how precise you have to be, and things may not turn out the way you want them to.

Pocket size publication to validate and help anyone who struggles with Cynophobia (phobia of dogs). Within this publication, I was able to understand how pagination works, and it took multiple edits to get it right.

This project got me to think about how I see myself as a designer who uses connection for an audience as a way to design with intention. Thinking of a way to help inform a guide and self-help tool allowed me to get the title (Look ahead) based on my own personal experience of looking ahead when I walk past dogs to ease my anxiety through using honesty as a communication asset.

Working within a group for a live brief to engage an ‘inward investment’ campaign to promote a city, encouraging businesses to relocate and invest in the chosen city. Within this group, I naturally stepped into a leadership role to help guide the project to coordinate tasks and ensure we delivered work on time in order to present to a client any updates we made.

Within this group, I naturally stepped into a leadership role to help guide the project to coordinate tasks and ensure we delivered work on time in order to present to a client any updates we made.

This experience helped build my confidence when directing collaborative work and allowed me to develop new technical skills, including image merging techniques within Photoshop, that I had not used prior to this module.

The idea of having design resonate with an audience intrigues me throughout the design process; without realising it at first, this approach has shaped the designer I am today. I begin my process with sketching to explore ideas, where I then move into digital development and note down insights to then implement any feedback that helps from my tutors and peers.
The idea of having design resonate with an audience intrigues me throughout the design process; without realising it at first, this approach has shaped the designer I am today. I begin my process with sketching to explore ideas, where I then move into digital development and note down insights to then implement any feedback that helps from my tutors and peers.
Across every module, I’ve continued to build new skills and strengthen my confidence within Adobe software. For example, during the York project, I learnt how to merge images effectively, and in the Cynophobia project, I developed my understanding of pagination. Both Jot and the Cynophobia brief helped me recognise that I’m a designer who aims to connect with audiences on a personal, human level.
